Lauren Shannon

Lauren began her journey in dance, singing, and acting at the age of three, making her professional debut in the BBC television programme Grange Hill. She later achieved her LAMDA Gold Medal in Drama and, after facing fierce competition, was awarded a full drama scholarship to complete a BA Honours Degree in Acting at Mountview Theatre Academy.

Since graduating, Lauren has worked professionally across theatre, TV, radio, pop, and film productions. She has taught at prestigious UK institutions such as Cambridge University, Eton, and Harrow School. Additionally, she has coached drama, speech, and self-development courses for both children and adults in corporate settings, working with companies like Porsche, Kia, and Range Rover.

As her career developed, Lauren discovered her true passion for teaching and children’s education. Over the past 20 years, she has built Little Acorns Theatre Academy while also teaching in leading stage schools and drama colleges across London. She has delivered specialist drama workshops at Cambridge University and coached LAMDA examination classes at numerous primary and secondary schools in Hertfordshire and Middlesex. Her work includes extensive one-to-one coaching in drama, speech therapy, and assessment preparation for private sector schools, supporting students ranging from ages 3 to adulthood.

Most recently, Lauren served as the head children’s acting coach for the BBC film Cognition, working with nine Little Acorns students. She was also an acting coach at the West End Matilda School.
