Laura Brown – Deputy Head of Little Acorns Theatre Academy and Head of Musical Theatre

Laura has been an integral part of Little Acorns for nearly fifteen years, bringing her extensive experience and passion for the performing arts to the academy. Alongside her role as Deputy Head, she runs her own successful singing tuition business, Laura Brown Singing Tuition.

A dedicated and dynamic teacher, Laura is a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing and is committed to ongoing professional development. She is a qualified Vocal Health First Aider with Vocal Health Education, has completed Levels One and Two of Estill Voice Training, and has undertaken additional training with Vocal Process. This ensures that her teaching methods are informed by the latest industry knowledge and best practices.

As an acting coach, Laura has worked extensively in Hertfordshire and Middlesex, delivering workshops and directing productions in both state and private primary schools. She has directed numerous Year Six end-of-year productions and is proud to have collaborated with Little Acorns Theatre Academy as an acting coach on the BBC film Cognition. Many of Laura’s students have agency representation and have gone on to perform in London’s West End as well as in film and television.

In addition to her expertise in singing and acting, Laura also teaches Music Theory, helping students build a solid understanding of sheet music and develop sight-singing skills. Her holistic approach to performance training equips her students with the tools they need to excel both on stage and beyond.

Laura’s passion for nurturing young talent and her commitment to excellence make her an invaluable part of the Little Acorns team.
